Weight is one of the many silent heart risks. At CT Cardio, we not only treat patients who are at risk or currently dealing with heart problems, but we strive to educate and prevent healthy heart habits that will keep you out of our office for those reasons. Those who are overweight are more apt to develop high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other factors that can lead to heart disease. Weight management is a huge element of getting and remaining heart healthy. Lipoden injections are an option that when combined with a healthy weight loss plan can help you achieve your weight loss goals while developing some healthy habits along the way.

What are Lipoden Injections?

Lipoden injectables consist of various vitamins, nutrients, and other ingredients used to aid in weight loss. These injections are typically injected into the arm, thigh, abdomen or buttocks. They include supplements that enhance liver function which will speed up the weight loss process. As mentioned above, it is meant to compliment a current weight loss program that includes exercise and a low carb diet. We do not recommend you try to achieve weight loss with the injections alone.

What exactly is in the injection?

While there are different combinations of vitamins and nutrients, and more concentrated compounds, most lipoden injections include Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B complex, amino acids, carnitine, phentermine, and a combination of methionine, inositol and choline. Below is a breakdown of what we use at CT Cardio and a brief description of each ingredient. For a full description and guide to the purpose and benefit of each ingredient, see here.

  1. Methoionine (12.4mg)
An essential amino acid that helps the body process and eliminate fat.
  2. Inositol (25mg)
Transports fats throughout the body. When combined with Choline, it produces lecithin which is fundamental in the breaking down of fats in your body. Also known to naturally stabilize moods.
  3. Choline (25mg)
A macronutrient that is important for liver function, normal brain development, nerve function, muscle movement, supporting energy levels, and maintaining a healthy metabolism.
  4. Thiamine (50mg)
An essential nutrient that all tissues of the body need to function properly.
  5. Riboflavin (5mg)
Also known as B2, riboflavin is one of the eight B-complex vitamins. It plays a role in energy production in the body and is needed for growth and overall good health. It helps to break down carbs, proteins, and fats to product energy.
  6. B6 (2mg)
One of the vitamins included in the Vitamin B complex family. Helps to maintain a healthy metabolism, nerve function, liver function, skin health, eye health and boost energy levels.
  7. Hydroxycobalamin (1000 mcg)
An integral part of the creation of cells. Significant for proper growth and development.
  8. Carnitine (125 mg)
Transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria so they can be oxidized or “Burned” to produce energy. Also transports the toxic compounds out of this cellular organelle to prevent their accumulation.
